Ryan Giggs: This is the real reason why I left Man United after Jose Mourinho's arrival RYAN GIGGS has admitted he left Manchester United when Jose Mourinho arrived because
he was ready for 'a break away from football'.
The United legend spent 29 years at Old Trafford as a player and a coach.
He enjoyed trophy-laden success as a player and worked as an assistant to Louis van Gaal and David Moyes, gaining a wealth of management experience.
The Welshman also had a stint as interim manager of the club after Moyes' departure, but decided to end his tenure at United when Van Gaal was sacked at the end of last
season.
Ryan Giggs: I left Manchester United because it was the right time and I needed break
And he believes he made the right decision not to continue working at United under Mourinho and is now looking for a Head coaching position elsewhere.
"It was the right time. There was a new manager and a new coaching staff," he explained .
"It was a brilliant two years education wise, but it was a tough two years. I was ready for
a break away from football."
Giggs was a front-runner for the Swansea job when Francesco Guidolin departed the Liberty
Stadium, but he was pipped to the post by Bob Bradley after giving an unconvincing interview.
