Luis Enrique confirms Lionel Messi is back for Barcelona vs Deportivo

The coach hailed the return of his magical No 10 as great news, on the eve of the La Liga clash with the Galicians.

FC Barcelona coach Luis Enrique celebrated the return of Lionel Messi after the injury he suffered against Real Madrid.

“ The great news is that players are coming back, Samuel Umtiti and Leo,” he said.

“Messi has been with the group since Wednesday, came back looking good, at a good level. When you come back from injury you need minutes, in training and in games. I'll speak to him about tomorrow, but in principle he's ready to play, as is Samuel Umtiti.”

ROTATIONS?

The coach says this season he “hasn’t done anything he hasn’t done before” to convince his stars to rest.

“I haven't done anything in the last two years to convince them on rotations, i just want them to understand we do what's best for the team,” he added.

“Beyond that there are individual things, but coaches and staff look for the common good.”

Lucho also confirmed Suarez is fit to play despite returning from international duty with some minor pains. "He hasn't said anything to me," said Luis Enrique.
